It was while trying to identify a curious insect I'd photographed that I first discovered Bill Oehlke's Saturniidae website. His website is full of fascinating information about moths and it helped me decide the creature I'd photographed was a Clearwing Hummingbird Moth (Hemaris thysbe). I wrote Bill and shared the photo with him. He confirmed the identity of the moth in my photo and I was pleased when he used my photo on his website.
